My weekend trip to the archipelago

This was my weekend trip to the the very small island of Huvudskär in the archipelago outside of Stockholm, with my girls. It was just as picturesqe as I imagine it would be. We only had bad luck with the weather, everything else was pretty much fun! 

The bad weather helped us get in the right mood for some ghost story telling and with some spiders that thought the heat inside was better than the rain outside joined in on the fun. Suddenly we were a crowd of 17...

Last day before going home. With no shower, and no regular toilet and bad weather. All grouped together outside our house we stayed at.

Sweet memories...

From last year's vacation to the US west coast. It's decided. We are going back, but first we have to take a small pause from the west coast. We've been there 2 years in a row! Don't want to get tired of the place....ha!

Latest of illustration & crochet frames

Birdie On A Twig and Rabbit Heart has gotten new crocheted frames! These are not like my usual brooches but small wall art instead. Looks adorable on wall all grouped together!

Rabbit Heart even got a frame in gorgeous cerise color, I'll show it to you as soon as I take some more pics. These will be up in the shop in a very very near future!

I'm slowly working on a self portrait in charcoal I did a couple of years ago. I know, sometimes that happens. Gaps. In time.

Recycled plastic bag

I used 1 plastic bag to make this flower headband.

I crocheted it with one of my biggest crochet hooks and finished it off by sewing on a thin stretchable band at the back and voilá! I give you my latest creative work. I think it turned out pretty great so I'm in the midst of making another one in between making some orders. This is a great way of getting rid of old plastic bags, I know I have to many so this is PERFECT. Imagine making your own plastic rug, like those from the 70's. It's possible as I have that many bags....

Mini cards

I thought I should have some cards in the art shop so I made a set of 4 mini's with my Bunny Heart illustration. I don't have Bunny Heart as a regular print in the shop yet, but will in time.

Will be in shop hopefully later tonight! I'm finding it oh so hard listing new items when we have such great weather. I mean...I live in Sweden - we have approximately 3-4 months of warm weather if were lucky and the rest of the year is cold and dark. I have to make the best of this summer, and now for some strawberries in the sun!

Crochet & Lingonberries

New crocheted cuff inspired by cool swedish summer and natures own lingonberries. This is one of the things that came upon my new inspiration that hit me after having next to none a week or two ago. I'm so glad it's back. Also a slightly new style on my regular cuff. I call this the tangled up cuff - wild lingonberries

Should be up in the shop tonight if I'm not caught up in other activities today on my day off work. Have a most fun and inspiring monday!

Back on track

I'm happy to announce that my inspiration is back! and therefor also my creativity. I'm having all sorts of projects on the go. I will in time show you everything new I've come up with. Today I'll like to show you one of my latest free hand (but of course!) crochet making projects.

My new cute crocheted slippers!

They are crocheted with my favorite wool and cotton yarn.

These are just a try out model, but maybe I'll make a pair for the shop later this summer, what do you think?
