Bear With Me

I started drawing this bear several months ago and it lay forgotten between other loose drawings of animals until I found it again. I guess it needed it's winter nap. Spring sun is here and spring flowers has popped up everywhere and what better time to see a newly awaken brown bear?

Bear with me, it takes time to see progress.

This spring I'm carrying a dreamy hare on my shoulder, and you could too!

Stripes of gold and black

I'm still loving those stripes and linear patterns as you can see!
Below is some pictures of my latest hand printed and sewn shawls in incredible soft cotton. I think I've found the right fabric to work with when developing my scarfs. I really like cotton jersey and viscose too but I'm more looking for the feeling of being surrounded by clouds, the incredible soft and airy but still warm when needed feeling too.

Nya sjalar i otroligt mjuk och härlig bomull. Jag tror faktiskt att jag funnit det rätta materialet att jobba med, för mig dvs. så det kommer absolut att komma fler sjalar fram mot våren!

Stockholm Etsy Christmas market 2012

So the Christmas market was this last tuesday as you may know from earlier posts.
I had so much fun organizing the event with the 2 other girls to begin with and the outcome was everything we had hoped for. It was great meeting other Etsy sellers, and it went really good sale wise as well.
Here's some pics of the event:

My table set up!
The standing rack for the clothing accessories in the back is actually an old wooden frame for holding up an oil canvas. I put some legs to hold it up and painted it with coral red paint and voila!

An old hat box for my screen printed shirts and bags.

Jewelry display was made of an old Ikea frame and was painted with the same coral red.
I made lots of new brooches and necklaces that will be up in shop soon. And new card sets as well!
They sold quite well during the day.

The place itself was great for us but I do think next time we're probably going to need a bigger place as there were more sellers interested that wouldn't fit within that space.

Raquel from Deco Tape Paradise was my lovely table neighbor. She sells as the name reveals tape in all sorts, very kawaii and I bought some of course. Can't get enough of washi tape!

We got a visit from Mark of Etsy Inc New York who brought us some cool stuff from the headquarters.

My favorite Etsy sticker!

And here I am in action with ghost hands and a smirky face at my table.

New necklaces to be added to the shops, I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Wishing you a great Christmas holiday!

Custom Pet Portrait

My first try on a dog portrait, what do you think?

I was approached on Etsy by a lovely customer who wanted a portrait of Cinder as a necklace, like my illustration necklaces I have in shop already.
This was my first take on drawing a dog, although I've drawn lots of other animals before. Anyway what I was thinking of was perhaps offering to do custom pet portraits in my shops, is this something that you would be interested in?

Nerdy Playful vs. Clean Modern

This is me. In my private life and work life. It reflects on everything I do and I may seem scattered to some, I mean I sometimes feel that way myself...If you believe in astrology I guess I should have been born in the sign of gemini and not of virgo. Here are some work examples:

Sneak peek of new handprinted scarfs

Oh I've been away for too long! I've missed my little blog and you dear readers!

Things are happening and evolving into something wonderful and I'm enjoying every minute of it, though things like keeping up with friends and enjoying lovely summer's days tend to get left behind a little.
This is why I also don't have new illustrations to post here. It's still on the secretive side..

BUT I can show you these new scarfs I'm making. Handprinted and ready to be sewed together. Lovely colors for summer days, don't you think?

Looking ghostly. My little helper. She's always by my side.

A busy bee week

I've been away from my blogging here for more than a week, first time ever over these 5 years since I started this blog and I'm not even on a holiday!
I've been and are somewhat still over the top on different sorts of emotions because of big life changes and extremely lot of work. I'm definitely not complaining and are most happy how everything is turning out.
I'm a happy gal right now!

This is a summery of everything since last:
I stole some time from my illustration work to make a new scarf! Feels wonderful and light when wearing, and drapes really beautiful. Graceful wear for summer days!
For more info: SHOP

A little sneek preview of another scarf in progress. Hedgehog galore!

Not much outdoor activities for me with so much work but a bike ride from time to time is a must!

The view from my orange bike dream isn't so bad either.

This is my latest poster for the hiphop event STEEZ in Umeå, Sweden.
This is poster #5 and I made 2 different versions.
Couldn't be more happy to be asked to make another one!

How's your week been?
Sunny greetings from me to you lovelies!

New screenprinted project revealed!

As you might know, I'm not making new crochet/knit garments anymore (there are exceptions, of course!)
but I just couldn't keep away from making clothing and therefor I present to you
my new screenprinted shawl! Handprinted with water based colors
with a new design on cotton/jersey fabric. Sewn together by moi.
Oh the satisfaction to have made everything myself is uplifting! (If you don't mind me saying so :o)

Illustration of a moon and mountain landscape which I so love to draw.

My plan is to make more of these in different colors, so my question to you dear followers is: In what colors would you like to see this shawl in?
