Stockholm Etsy Christmas market 2012

So the Christmas market was this last tuesday as you may know from earlier posts.
I had so much fun organizing the event with the 2 other girls to begin with and the outcome was everything we had hoped for. It was great meeting other Etsy sellers, and it went really good sale wise as well.
Here's some pics of the event:

My table set up!
The standing rack for the clothing accessories in the back is actually an old wooden frame for holding up an oil canvas. I put some legs to hold it up and painted it with coral red paint and voila!

An old hat box for my screen printed shirts and bags.

Jewelry display was made of an old Ikea frame and was painted with the same coral red.
I made lots of new brooches and necklaces that will be up in shop soon. And new card sets as well!
They sold quite well during the day.

The place itself was great for us but I do think next time we're probably going to need a bigger place as there were more sellers interested that wouldn't fit within that space.

Raquel from Deco Tape Paradise was my lovely table neighbor. She sells as the name reveals tape in all sorts, very kawaii and I bought some of course. Can't get enough of washi tape!

We got a visit from Mark of Etsy Inc New York who brought us some cool stuff from the headquarters.

My favorite Etsy sticker!

And here I am in action with ghost hands and a smirky face at my table.

New necklaces to be added to the shops, I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Wishing you a great Christmas holiday!

Custom Pet Portrait

My first try on a dog portrait, what do you think?

I was approached on Etsy by a lovely customer who wanted a portrait of Cinder as a necklace, like my illustration necklaces I have in shop already.
This was my first take on drawing a dog, although I've drawn lots of other animals before. Anyway what I was thinking of was perhaps offering to do custom pet portraits in my shops, is this something that you would be interested in?

Illustrated copper necklaces

You may have seen some of these necklaces from late last year. They haven't been included in the shops yet but they will!  And you may remember my jewelry display I made for a christmas fair?

This song has been on my mind all day. It's beautiful and nostalgic, it even gave me the title for my dreamy fox illustration!

Magazine Feature & New Brooches

Christmas went by fast and a new year is here, I wonder what 2012 will bring?

Year started good with a UK magazine feature in Make Jewellery:

New brooches ready for shop listing.

Will the bird in the red scarf find a home?

I hope you're good, wishing you a wonderful week!

T-shirts & christmas fair!

I'm sorry but I don't have no new illustration (that I can show, just some secret stuff..;) ) or no new crochet garment but I do have screen printed t-shirts with my illustrations and some new grand necklaces!
I found the most gorgeous t-shirt model in cotton jersey with rolled up sleeve to print on, so this will be a keeper for my future screen printing. These will hopefully be up in the SHOP this week, so don't forget to check it out!

I and my two screen printing mates, Daniela and Petra shared tables at this past weekend fair in Stockholm.
We had a mix of totes, baby grow suits, hats and t-shirts. It was great getting feedback on our new stuff as we actually had our premiere on most of our creations there.

This was my jewelry display at the fair. I'm super pleased with how it turned out so I'm keeping it to have at home as well. These necklaces are also new and will turn up in the shop soon!

These photos were photographed with my old iphone camera hence the bad picture quality, sorry!

Wishing you a great week

In the little house there was a forest

I made a little house for my jewelry as display for coming craft markets. Like a miniature greenhouse for my little animal and forest illustrated necklaces. The one you see here is a new model in copper metal, it's much larger than my older ones and so you have to be a little more brave to wear it!
This is just a preview but once ready for the next christmas market on the 10th of December I'll post more pics.

Have a great monday!

Made myself a letter necklace today...

I've been doing the whole recycling and DIY thing all day long. I realized I'm in BIG need of new clothes even though I have a BIG wardrobe but you see it's only dresses, costumes and lovely vintage clothing. Sometimes it's good to have basic clothing too, right? So I've been re-sewing old pants to new styles that is more me now at this moment of time, organizing to give away a bunch of clothing to second hand stores and so on. I usually give a lot to my sister who is more than happy to receive them or give out to fundraisers when I'm fed up with not being able to shut the wardrobe closet properly because of the clothes that is pouring over!
Do you ever have this problem?

Recycling and Creating

This week I've been preparing for the coming exhibition and craft market in november/december.
I've made these small jewelry paper displays with information at the back intended for the craft market.
This is a new necklace from my plastic jewelry work which I don't have a name for yet, but perhaps you have one?

I recycled a cardboard box into small gift boxes for some of my jewelry with shop name stamped on
from Etsy seller Tyr.
They look like tiny books, aren't they cute?

Information about the craft & vintage market Basar Under can be found here.
I'll be there on the 10th of December with 2 of the girls I'm screen printing with. We will have garments, totes, prints and jewelry at our tables. Christmas goodies for sure!

Stuff I make

These illustration necklaces was first made exclusive for SwedishFresh but is now being added to my Etsy art shop.
These 3 were the only ones made and I'm not sure if I'll make more of them, for now anyway.

I've been busy making these headbands as well. They are perfect to use for this grey cool weather we have now.
I wear my white crown everyday, it's super comfy!

Another thing I've started on today that is super fun, easy and made quick
(don't you just love that combination?)
is these gift bags out of simple envelopes made from an Etsy tutorial. Found it on my sister's blog and there you can see the gift bags she made. I myself have just started and therefor have no photos to show.

You can find the tutorial HERE.

Stripes and Moon

I'm back home with mixed feelings, like always after a vacation far away. We're already planning our next trip, perhaps it'll be another road trip!

Now that I'm back home, I thought I show you something I did before my vacation as I haven't been able to do anything more than practical things like doing the washing, dishes, cleaning and getting rid of this jet lag since returning;

I'm holding another giveaway soon as I now have 200 followers on my blog! I would never have guessed it when I started this blog 2007 that people would actually follow me and my work, but now were here so thank you!

Wishing you all a great monday,

New necklaces

I've made some new necklaces - both hand drawn and from my "Animal Hearts" print on strong plastic.

Right now, I'm in love with black chains. They're on most of my latest pieces and i think i'm sticking with it.
These will be in my jewelry & accessories shop soonish! I haven't been updating this shop that much lately but I can tell you that I've been crocheting on 2 tops lately. I probably wont have time to show you them before vacation which is coming up very soon but I thought I let you know if you were wondering why i haven't been active there.

Take care!

On a creative day

I draw, design and enjoy life.
This day I've finished a new drawing and continued on another one.

(Landscape in black & white ink on fiber paper. Cat sketch drawn with graphite pencil)

I re-discovered some of my necklaces I did earlier this summer and thinking about listing them in the shop.
(Mini illustration on strong plastic)

As from last weekend I've not been on any bus or train. I ride my bicycle everywhere. Today my orange bike took me all the way across Stockholm, and this was my view most of the time.

Rabbit Heart Necklace

Presenting a new illustration & crochet necklace!

I've made this one before but in another color.
This will be listed in the shop next week.

Until then sweet pies, I'm ending this post with a groovy video. If I lived in the 60's I would definitely be one of those Shindig girls you'd see in the background dancing to music performances. I love this, what a workout huh?

Etsy favorites

I need a new purse and I find these tall ones to be absolute perfect for cards or make up. From Humoresqe.

This is so funny. I need this! By Hungryknife.

I almost never wear earrings but I could most definitely wear these. From Amerrymischap.

In between my creative mess and custom orders I made this little illustration & crochet brooch. It's from my illustration Evil Eye Flowers.

Re-posting blogger fail

As many of you noticed, blogger was down for hours and days and my latest post even disappeared! So instead of posting a identical last post I decided to make photo slides of some of the last photos + extra extra!
