Barcelona

Just got back home from another great holiday trip to Barcelona. Needless to say but we love this city!

We had cava for breakfast - because we could! :)

 Gaudi sculptures and architecture were spotted all over the city.

One of the highlights were Montserrat. We travelled by train up to this view and it was absolutely breathtaking. This large mountain even has it's own monastery, imagine living up there all year around!

A little nap was most necessary in the heat.

We went for a quick visit to Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona.

Found an awesome print shop, wish we had this in Stockholm!

And now we're back home to this little dudette!!

Cat Faces!

 Recognize this face from my blog banner? it's originally a part of an older illustration of mine. One I might show you in the future, as for now I'm not sure if I want to use it for something else or not. I'm thinking of making these below into cards for the shop, what do you think?

 I made some samples just to try it out, in raspberry pink.

WIP: Between sisters

I'm working on a new drawing for the upcoming exhibition I'm having with my sister this fall. This is a work in progress, digital drawing from a photo I took earlier this month when visiting my family. See previous post if you're curious!

Keeping myself busy with creative projects

Things are just the way it usually is - week filled with different projects such as printing, crocheting, drawing, baking and admiring Sau Paw. Oh and I did a little sewing and carving too! 

Below is the beginning of a hand printed tube scarf. 

Even though I've closed my shop with crocheted accessories, I still make things for myself and others when the urge settles in. This time I've started trying to make a granny square blanket out of left over yarn scraps. 

I'm a beginner when it comes to carving but I'm feeling determined to master it!

Look at this majestic creature of black furriness. Sunbathing is her favorite thing in the world. 

Mine is admiring her when sunbathing!

The Bubble Crown deluxe....

  Let me introduce a new version of the Bubble Crown; 

Use it twisted at the front or turn it around for that new lace detail! 

These 2 are added to shop now and more will come!

Let me tell you, these were so much fun to make and I have more coming up very soon.

Giveaway ending

I'm back from my mini vacation in Spain and everything is back to balance again. I felt it was perfect to have a giveaway while I was away - Thank you all who participated in the giveaway this time around!

This time I let Sau choose a winner but it was not as easy as I thought so I had to put some catnip candy in the vase to even make her interested in the happening. Maybe she felt a sort of connection to the winner as she chose the paper with number 6 -Puppy Love Princess!

"I rule the world look"

The other week J showed me a fantastic photo he took of Sau and I just thought I had to draw that. She has the I rule the world look, like the most arrogant cat ever! I was rolling on the floor in laughter and I could see her looking at me with hurtful eyes, it's like she knows I'm laughing at her, poor girl! 

This is the portrait I started drawing on late last night, it's not finished yet as you can see...not scanned just a iphone pic with poor light.

I'll show you the rest when it's completely finished.

Sunday Morning Walk no3 - In progress

No3 is finished and I'm quite pleased. I hope you'll like it! 

Sau paw wow approved by giving me a nibble on my lower leg (or maybe she was just a little bit hungry?). 

I started my drawing with charcoal pen on my precious fiber/kraft paper, scanned it into my computer and finished it in Photoshop. I'm listing this into my art shop - Latenightdrawing hopefully today.

Re-posting blogger fail

As many of you noticed, blogger was down for hours and days and my latest post even disappeared! So instead of posting a identical last post I decided to make photo slides of some of the last photos + extra extra!

New version

of my illustration Sunday Morning Walk. Hand drawn with ink pencils on fiber paper. My new favorite paper. 

Sau always wants to be where the camera is. 

Preparing

Sau loves to get her portrait made in paint and also to be photographed.

Tomorrow I'll be taking her for a check up to the veterinary. I'm not looking forward to it. She's really hard to get in the box, it's a struggle of the strongest mind. She just have to mjaauuu! really loud and I loose. I can't stand see her distressed. Oh I'm such a mom, a nervous easy to manipulate mom. 

The hunt for the yarn ball is on! IF: Toy

New illustration and portfolio

Remember the work in progress a couple of posts down?

Well it's done!

I've been working on my portfolio this week..so what do you think?

This is my first try so there will be some improvements later on.

I hope you're all good, I'm constantly thinking of the disaster in Japan.

A moment of stillness in chaos

After tearing and shredding plenty of yarn and paper ball to bits and pieces she takes a well earned moment to collect herself for another session of chaos later on, preferably at night when everyone else tries to sleep.

Whazz up? I'm just lying here feeling utterly full from all the yummie christmas food they've fed me, but it's good.

I hope they never buy one of those new flat tv screens. It's warm here. I like that. And I get as much attention as they on the telly.

Don't move....you know I can't sleep if I can't sleep on your thighs. 

I know walking on her records will make her mad, annoyed, tired, crazy...and that is what I want.

Card Set

After some requests. I now have Sunday Morning Walk no 1 & 2 as a card set in the shop.

Hmmm...something weird is going on with my pictures on the LinkWithin thing, down under this text.

 Has anybody else got this problem? It could be because of all the customizes I've done on this blog though....?

Sunday Morning Walk no2

With all this snow and cold weather I just had to make a sequel on my Sunday Morning Walk, so this is no 2. 

A little bit more sunny, a little bit more cheerier. You can see the first original on my banner.

Sau has gotten a little bit more fatter these days so an early morning exercise on roller skates is just what she needs but not at all what she wants. She rather lay by the windowsill with her paws on the heat radiator. 

Min illustration Sunday Morning Walk no 2 är färdig och den passar väl bra nu i vinterkylan. Denna är lite mer soligare och lite mer gladare. 

Sau har blivit lite fetare med tiden så en rullskridsko promenad är precis vad hon behöver men det är ju egentligen inte vad hon vill. Hon har ju större lust att ligga på fönsterbrädan med sina tassar hängandes ner på elementet.
