Grey swirl thoughts

Yup, they're still there, those swirls.....
One annoying thing is that now when I only use my left hand I get these shoulder cramps on my left side from all the usual stuff that I do that is normally divided with my right hand/arm. I really do everything with my left hand now, I'm a bit amazed myself. What I really need now is a Shiatsu-treatment!

Left hand drawings

I did my right hand operation this week and that means rest for two weeks...two whole weeks!!!! I was going mad tonight not being able to crochet or draw as usual but I did what I could and these drawings I did with my left hand of my cat are the results. My mission now is to draw, draw and draw with my left hand and maybe maybe in two weeks I'll be as half good at drawing with my lefty as my righty.

School and fun books

Some new books arrived the other week. They are both inspirational and learning for my studying and crafting process. I've already sewed another tote bag ( which I did before getting this inspirational book :-( about sewing 50 different sorts of bags) but got some small details I want to fix before sharing.

Crocheted fishnet scarf

Here's one of the crocheted scarfs I did the other week. Looks like a big fishnet!
Photographed with cell phone camera and I know these pics have poor quality but I always have my cell phone with me or near so it's the most easy way for me when I can't bother with getting my real camera.

In a crocheting daze

This is my old leather bag full of yarn and different sorts of half done crocheted scarfs I bring with me to work and everywhere else whenever my craving for crocheting or knitting takes over me. I've done a LOT of crocheted scarfs lately which I'll put up here in the near future. I've been trying out different patterns I've had in my head for some time but the end results may be completely different than what I first had in mine. I'm just messing around with my crochet hook and that's pretty much how I do it. I don't have the patience to read instructions for patterns and I don't understand the short terms they all got. Or perhaps it's the other way around, vice versa.

Doll face

I was going through some drawings of mixed media I've done and found this doll face I did at the end of last year and forgotten to put up here. So here she is. I think I'll name her Sophie.
Other than Sophie I and J went and saw 'I'm not there' by Todd Haynes at biografen Sture. I enjoyed it but I guess one can be a little confused if not knowing so much about Bob Dylan, which J seemed to be....haha! I'm always dragging him to Sture to see my kind of movies. The last movie before this I dragged him to Sture to see 'Control' which he said he liked. That's good. A boyfriend with good taste is very good.

Swirltree

There's still swirls in my head. I've done a couple of different drawings with just swirls. I love to cover a sheet of paper with small details.

New label on new bag

My embroidered labels I ordered last month has arrived and so I sewed one on to my latest work, a bag for underwear. I think it looks neat! It adds another whole dimension to the simple bag.

Hans Arnold

The Illustrations of Hans Arnold is always inspiring to me as I've mentioned before. So I went to his exhibition at Seriegalleriet with Nicole and to my big surprise He, Hans Arnold in person was there! was I a lucky girl or what!? After talking to him a bit I told Nicole I felt like a little girl again having a star struck moment. Haven't felt that in ages! I walked out of the gallery with a signed copy of the childrens book AllraKäraste Syster and a signed poster.
I first noticed his illustrations as a little girl reading AllraKäraste Syster. I don't actually remember the story that much just that it was a sad story about two twin sisters. The story is by Astrid Lindgren. What I do remember is those drawings! so detailed and alive. It left a print in my head and heart. He often did illustrations for horror teen/children books which I absolutely love. He also did that famous vinyl cover for ABBA.
His book Veckans Chock is on my want list.

My sister has now her own blog with her beautiful oil paintings. I'm so proud! She IS inspiration to me. Here's the link The Weekly

Hair accessory

I was bored and wanted to do something special with my hair before going to a friends party but it didn't turn out very well so in my disappointment I crocheted a hair ribbon with a flower in black and gone was my dreariness!

First photo of me with a large beer tankard of Nina Nikkilä.

A long and sunny stroll

A day off from work, sunshine, nostalgia and love made this late january walk unforgettable. We really didn't have a goal for our walk or a destination so we climbed up some hills, walked through fields and forests, saw old childhood playgrounds and had wonderful conversations meanwhile. The nature is truly inspirational to me. I really feel I can breath there, heck I should move to the country! I guess I am a country girl alright.

I photographed these with my cell phone!

Purse

I sewed this little purse together with a fabric from IKEA. The big black button was found in a yarn shop in Gamla Stan, there were lots of buttons gathered in a big bowl for just 1 kr each so I bought plenty for future projects.

Birthday present

I made this tote bag in black and blue for my friend Filip for his birthday. I was looking for fabrics a couple of weeks ago to make this idea complete and saw this intense blue fabric and thought of Filip. The thought was that he could carry books in it, but anything really. The strap was made long for carry on shoulder. The inside is blue and so are the front side pocket and one of the straps backside. I made a simple embroidery in the same blue color on the front and back edges. This was my first bag to make and so I learned a lot from making it and I think bag no 2 will be much better. I'm not planning on sewing one in the near future but it was quite fun doing something new so maybe next time I'll make it more advanced.

Notebook

I got this notebook a couple of years ago at Indiska on their sale, I bought two and gave one away. I haven't even used it yet and maybe it's because of the beautiful and funny illustrations on the front cover and the lovely crêpe sheets inside. I especially like Taking The Lost Children To The Police Post. The older is holding the little one's hand! This is how An Ideal Boy should spend his days. Good Habits. Think...with the voice of Apu (The Simpsons)in your head while reading from the illustrations...

I know a boy who love apples

My favourite fruit is not the apple but one of a favourite to draw. This is an oldie from december 2007 but I thought I show you ( who?? whoever visit my blog, would love to hear from you! ) this anyway. Now that I got illustrator and all I tend to be more of a perfectionist so every drawing process takes longer now than it used to do. It's good and bad, It all depends on how my mood is. Right now my energy has gone right out of me, I can't even understand I'm not lying in bed right now. But I'm very grateful for illustrator other days when my spirits high! thanks again Niklas for buying me illustrator, I'm sure It will help me a lot with developing my art!
