Long time no see + new animated video!

Really! Where do time go? I haven't updated this blog since March? Oh well, I guess I have my reasons for that. Last spring was busy due to work, fun work! As in a new animated music video. It took me a couple of months but I'm really pleased of how it turned out. I directed and animated it frame by frame for the amazing Detroit band Colorwheel.

Here are some selected gifs and stills from beginning of ideation to the video:

The story is about a couple of pigeons on a psychedelic journey on The Paisley Train express.

New video release!

The music video I completed last autumn for Sebastian Mullaert has finally been released! 

The new year started good! 

I started creating the concept look and illustrations in August and together with my fellow Hyper Island alumni and friend Ann, we began animating in September. It was blood, sweat and tears, especially during the last week or so...but I think it turned out really good so it was definitely worth it!

IF:Theatre - Family House On Vacation

I keep drawing houses. This was originally for a short animation I started on early last spring, hoping I'll finish it someday. I've added some coloring and details in the background. This illu will also be added as a print in my nordic and international shop. A few seconds are included in my animation reel below if you're curious of how it looks animated.

A Hyper Island Student Project

Here's the whole animation my group did for the Hyper Island school project "Human Billboard".

 Our client was Oliver & Eva and our theme was fetishism, we chose to portrait one of the most common ones:

We got the chance to show our animation short movies at a the best commercial spot in Stockholm, on the big screen at Stureplan. We were 8 teams who produced 8 different short movies and themes of sexual minorities.

First showreel - Motion Creatives '14 Stockholm

It's been a month of full speed into different projects, group work and a lot of fun. 

I'm so proud of our class, it's been hectic with very short deliveries with every brief and we've managed to complete all of them with excellent work and presentation. 

Our first showreel is up for viewing! 

Take 48 creative people from different countries and backgrounds,
give them two days to present themselves as a class.

Poster project

I thought I'd try making my own gig poster for fun and this below is the result. This is not an official gig poster for First Aid Kit just my way of showing my appreciation and admiration for their music. 

Jag testade att göra en gig-affisch med First Aid Kit som band eftersom jag tycker att dessa tjejer helt enkelt gör fantastisk musik. Och så gillar jag ju affischer över huvud taget, särskilt gig-affischer.

White Eagle - New illustration

Fly swift, fly high across the sky - my soul bird...

My latest drawing is based on some hazy memories of past travels and a revisited daydream of flying free as an eagle. 

A repetitive topic of mine it seems ;D

This is only one of the many illustrations i've done lately and maybe soon i'll be able to post something special i've been working on.

 It's all very exciting and something i've been quiet about for some time now. Hoping soon!

Pretty little pouches

Hello lovelies! 

This week has been lots of fun but also with some real tough work, just the way life suppose to be I guess!

One of those fun things were to make these small purses. I hand printed them on cotton/linen and then sew them together with zippers. They are not perfect at all, but hey it was my first try and I made them for myself. Small purses are always practical to have, you really can't have to many!

My choice of music on this Sunday must be:

I'm an open book

I miss reading a good book. Nowadays it only happens when I'm on a beach vacation and that doesn't happen very often. These days I tend to listen to audio books when drawing. That way I can be productive and have fun while doing it!

In this case of drawing I didn't actually listen to a book (ha!) instead I listened to "Pet Sounds" by the Beach Boys.

The floating words coming out of the books are "God Only Knows".

I guess I was inspired by the beautiful "The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore":

Illustrated copper necklaces

You may have seen some of these necklaces from late last year. They haven't been included in the shops yet but they will!  And you may remember my jewelry display I made for a christmas fair? 

This song has been on my mind all day. It's beautiful and nostalgic, it even gave me the title for my dreamy fox illustration!

In a Christmas mood!

I've done nothing really productive today except for watching cute christmas videos, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites and wish you all a very wonderful Christmas!

Printed & Sewn

Yup, I'm still making screen prints on fabric. There's no stopping me now! 

New pattern with my darling heart silhouette bunnies, birds and squirrels on red placemats. 

As you may have seen in previous posts, I've began sewing a little bit again. These skirts are so much fun to make, I even added a little pocket at the front. The white stripes are hand printed. Feels like a little tribute to the band every time a wear it! :D

And a little something to listen to while waiting for that snow that wont seem to come!

In that mood

I've been away from the blog a week but that doesn't mean that I've not been creative or tried to be at least. I've worked on a new banner for the blog for example. Well not completely new as you can see but i thought it should have a somewhat new look. Had to read a lot of html tutorials to get those buttons above to work. 

Time consuming for sure. 

I've been drawing landscapes, trees and cats like always. This time I've added text from 2 of my favorite songs. 

First song is from who's famous mansion I'll be visiting this september!

Rabbit Heart Necklace

Presenting a new illustration & crochet necklace! 

I've made this one before but in another color. 

This will be listed in the shop next week. 

Until then sweet pies, I'm ending this post with a groovy video. If I lived in the 60's I would definitely be one of those Shindig girls you'd see in the background dancing to music performances. I love this, what a workout huh?

Re-posting blogger fail

As many of you noticed, blogger was down for hours and days and my latest post even disappeared! So instead of posting a identical last post I decided to make photo slides of some of the last photos + extra extra!

Poster

I've been holding back on showing you this festival poster I did in april due to various reasons, but now it's here!  

It's for a children's music festival, organized by Dieselverkstaden here in Stockholm this coming june.

 

Think I've found a new source for my creative outlet! Poster art.

Right now I'm in the midst of making 2 more poster projects and I couldn't be more happy. 

Jag har hållit tillbaka på att visa er denna poster till Barnmusikfestivalen jag gjorde i april eftersom Dieselverkstaden inte då hade släppt artisterna osv. Jag tror att jag kan ha funnit ett nytt kreativt utlopp i poster konsten.

Jag håller just nu på med 2 olika poster projekt vilket bidrar till att jag ser ut såhär :-D mest hela tiden.
