Stockholm Etsy Christmas market 2012

So the Christmas market was this last tuesday as you may know from earlier posts.

 I had so much fun organizing the event with the 2 other girls to begin with and the outcome was everything we had hoped for. It was great meeting other Etsy sellers, and it went really good sale wise as well. 

Here's some pics of the event:

My table set up! 

The standing rack for the clothing accessories in the back is actually an old wooden frame for holding up an oil canvas. I put some legs to hold it up and painted it with coral red paint and voila!

An old hat box for my screen printed shirts and bags.

Jewelry display was made of an old Ikea frame and was painted with the same coral red. 

I made lots of new brooches and necklaces that will be up in shop soon. And new card sets as well! 

They sold quite well during the day. 

The place itself was great for us but I do think next time we're probably going to need a bigger place as there were more sellers interested that wouldn't fit within that space.

Raquel from Deco Tape Paradise was my lovely table neighbor. She sells as the name reveals tape in all sorts, very kawaii and I bought some of course. Can't get enough of washi tape! 

We got a visit from Mark of Etsy Inc New York who brought us some cool stuff from the headquarters.

New necklaces to be added to the shops, I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Zig Zag

New shawl and new cotton bag. Both hand printed with non-toxic water based inks. 

Loved working with this shawl in cotton jersey,

so more is definitely to come. 

Dessa två kommer jag att ha med mig till julmarknaden - Etsy Stockholm den 18/12, men jag kommer att ha med mig massor av annat också, bla. nya smycken, annat ny-tryckt och illustrationer och vykort.

Christmas Fair - Etsy STHLM

Yup, the Stockholm ETSY team is having their first christmas fair! 

It's all very exciting and we also have a great venue downtown at Mariatorget.

T-shirts & christmas fair!

I'm sorry but I don't have no new illustration (that I can show, just some secret stuff..;) ) or no new crochet garment but I do have screen printed t-shirts with my illustrations and some new grand necklaces!

I found the most gorgeous t-shirt model in cotton jersey with rolled up sleeve to print on, so this will be a keeper for my future screen printing. These will hopefully be up in the SHOP this week, so don't forget to check it out!

     

I and my two screen printing mates, Daniela and Petra shared tables at this past weekend fair in Stockholm.

We had a mix of totes, baby grow suits, hats and t-shirts. It was great getting feedback on our new stuff as we actually had our premiere on most of our creations there.

     

     

This was my jewelry display at the fair. I'm super pleased with how it turned out so I'm keeping it to have at home as well. These necklaces are also new and will turn up in the shop soon!

Totes!

 I'm thrilled to show you my latest screen printed work on totes! Based on my illustrations Sunday Morning Walk and The Hedgehog.

Each is screen printed by hand (me!) with water based ink on ECO sustainable cotton totes.

These will be for sale at Saturday's christmas market here in Stockholm and some will turn up in the shop.

Dessa kommer jag att ha med mig på lördagens julmarknad på Basar Under i Skrapan. 

Och inte bara dessa "one of a kind" kassar utan även HELT nya smycken och pappersprodukter!

Kul ska det bli! och jag hoppas att vi ses!

In the little house there was a forest

I made a little house for my jewelry as display for coming craft markets. Like a miniature greenhouse for my little animal and forest illustrated necklaces. The one you see here is a new model in copper metal, it's much larger than my older ones and so you have to be a little more brave to wear it! 

This is just a preview but once ready for the next christmas market on the 10th of December I'll post more pics.

Recycling and Creating

This week I've been preparing for the coming exhibition and craft market in november/december. 

I've made these small jewelry paper displays with information at the back intended for the craft market. 

This is a new necklace from my plastic jewelry work which I don't have a name for yet, but perhaps you have one?

I recycled a cardboard box into small gift boxes for some of my jewelry with shop name stamped on 

from Etsy seller Tyr.

They look like tiny books, aren't they cute?

I'll be there on the 10th of December with 2 of the girls I'm screen printing with. We will have garments, totes, prints and jewelry at our tables. Christmas goodies for sure! 

Illustration & Crochet Necklaces

I'm enjoying making these illustration & crochet mixes so much, so it was just a matter of time before I made these necklaces. I had some of these with me on the latest craft market just to try them out and see how the feedback would be and they were the ones that sold most after my prints. I'm trying them out in the shop soon as well.

On other things. I'm not feeling the 2011 thing yet, feeling rather blah. 

But as always, tomorrow is tomorrow and I guess the festivities will make my mood go woah!

Jag gillar verkligen den här blandningen av illustration och virkning som jag gjort ett tag nu så det var på tiden att det blev halsband som en fortsättning. De kommer att finnas i butiker snart.

Jag vet inte, men jag känner mig allmänt blah idag när jag tänker på nyårsafton. Jag antar att mitt humör blir bättre imorgon när festligheterna börjar, det tror jag det!

I'll be at the christmas market, Basar Under (again!) tomorrow and I'll be bringing these and lots of new things, like necklaces and cards. I'm really looking forward to this saturday's market as I know there will be a lot of talented and great crafters and artists there, some of them I know and some new to meet. Very exciting.

Market & baking weekend

Here's some pics from the market Basar Under from last saturday. 

It went well, met lots of cute people and listened to good live music.

I also managed to draw some and made a new bangle bracelet!

My table neighbor sold vintage and retro toys. There were so many cute things and I wanted it all!

I was completely exhausted the day after but as it was the 1st of advent I had to make saffron buns. I'm a bit early as these are traditionally made on the 13th of december but they are so yummie, I just couldn't help myself. 

Hur firade ni första advent? Var på Ica i söndags och alla, ALLA, trängdes runt julstjärnorna och julpyntet. Ute i sista minuten som vanligt. Och jag med.

Brooches. I've made a whole bunch of new illustration & crochet brooches. 

I'm taking these with me for the market fair tomorrow, also some crocheted bracelets and my illustrations of course!

Svenskan faller visst bort ibland, ursäkta mig kära svenska läsare! Jag ska bättra mig. Jag vill passa på och påminna Stockholmare om Basar Under som pågår imorgon kl 11-18 i Skrapan på söder. Kom förbi om ni söker efter personliga julklappar. Finns massor av olika saker att hitta där! Jag kommer att sälja dessa broscher + en massa annat. Live musik, konst och en massa härliga människor!

For the coming craft fair

So I will be at the craft and vintage fair Basar Under again, this coming saturday!

So the following will be on Swedish:

Äntligen! Det är höstpremiär för mig på Basar Under. Jag kommer återigen att vara där nu på lördag den 2/10 och följande datum 30/10, 27/11 och jag siktar också på någon decemberhelg (11/12 ) för er som är intresserade av icke massproducerade julklappar till vänner och släkt. Jag kommer att ha allt från äldre design till nytt och bra erbjudanden. Så ni som bor i Stockholm eller är på besök, kom förbi vettja! Det finns mkt fint från olika utställare och det bjuds på livemusik, konstutställning och så finns det sjukt goda, seriöst, riktigt goda bullar som Melina och Gabriella gjort.
