Keeping up with my creative life

Things I crafted for myself and friends.

Small drawstring bag, perfect when traveling.

I needed a case for my iphone/glasses and this is what came out. Hand printed and sewn in cotton and felted wool with braided cord.

A toilet/vanity bag in fun and colorful striped cotton.

A crochet blanket/rug for a good friend's little newborn baby girl. It was crocheted in wonderful soft wool that made me want to keep it for myself, to snuggle into on lovely cold Sunday mornings..

Wishing you a creative weekend!

Project DIY

Thought I'd share my latest DIY project consisting of a thrift store sweater in beautiful red and a lace ribbon.
Easy as pie!
The thing that made me come up with this idea was that the neck width was too small for me and instead of hiding it away at the bottom of the drawer like so many other half finished projects I decided this sweater was to lovely to be forgotten.
I started with cutting of the neck part of the sweater and making the hole to a preferable size.

Gathered my favorite lace ribbons, in this case I decided to use the one at the bottom.

I folded and pinned the edges. Sewed twice with the machine.
I then sewed on the ribbon by hand right under the front edge.
I chose to only have a strip of ribbons between the collarbones but it could go around the whole neck too, it's just a little more work!

The ending result. Looks cute, right?

Now is the time to start creating!

New Tote Bags

Things I've been up to since the opening of the exhibition and my last post:

New hand printed bags! With my old zigzag pattern I used on some t-shirts but in new design now on tote bags. Organic cotton printed with non-toxic waterbased inks of course.

Oh and I sold my 200th item on etsy last week! I had my goal on 200 sales for the month of December so I was more than pleased, did a little dance and sent a free tote bag to the buyer.

And I finally had some time over and started on something...

Made a new collage card of The Superhero Cat. Could there perhaps be any interest of making this into a larger print, what do you think? Suggestions are more than welcome!

Wishing you a great weekend friends,

Project cozy

Forget about the other granny squares I made last week, these are the ones I'm working on now, or whenever in front of the tv/laptop watching series and documentaries. Things needs to be a bit more yellow, orange and red around here or I'll die of boredom. The thing is, I absolutely adore white rooms but sometimes after a very, very long winter my mind is set on sunny and warm colors for natural reasons of course.

Wishing you a lovely sunny Sunday!

An autumn day

We've had the most beautiful couple of days here in Stockholm lately so I decided to take my camera, my Bubble Crowns and my pretty friend out for a walk. Our destination and an old favorite of mine was Skogskyrkogården,
The Woodland Cemetery. We found our spot beside a yellow birch tree.

In the midst of everything, the most beautiful orange cat came to visit. Luckily for him I actually had some catnip in my pocket from a recent lookout for a homeless cat in the neighborhood, which he did seem to enjoy!

One of the wondrous views from a very special spot at the cemetery.

If you're interested in seeing more from the photo session, have a look in my shop. More will be added continually.

Stuff I make

These illustration necklaces was first made exclusive for SwedishFresh but is now being added to my Etsy art shop.
These 3 were the only ones made and I'm not sure if I'll make more of them, for now anyway.

I've been busy making these headbands as well. They are perfect to use for this grey cool weather we have now.
I wear my white crown everyday, it's super comfy!

Another thing I've started on today that is super fun, easy and made quick
(don't you just love that combination?)
is these gift bags out of simple envelopes made from an Etsy tutorial. Found it on my sister's blog and there you can see the gift bags she made. I myself have just started and therefor have no photos to show.

You can find the tutorial HERE.

Let me tell you, these were so much fun to make and I have more coming up very soon.
But in the meanwhile I just thought I show you this:

The Woodland Cemetary

Todays inspiration comes from Skogskyrkogården, The woodland Cemetary, part of the Unesco World Heritage. Not many people know this but it's one of the most beautiful places to visit in Stockholm. The architecture and garden design in this enormous area is absolute grand and with all the chapels and graves it gives the most calming feeling.
Today, I and a dear friend walked around, had a coffee, listened to birds chatting away, marveled at our view and talked of lost friends. Still, hours later I have this feeling of magical wonders.

I wish I could tell you I made these bracelets today while having my inspirational boost but these are already made and shipped to Helsinki, Finland. They will reside in the Paloni store - opening on june 10th!

New jewelry

The spring weather is finally here! It's been to long ago since I could walk outside without wool socks and snow boots. It's time to explore the new world that once was buried under snow.

These are the latest in jewelry and they are already up in shop.
This first one is called A Lingonberry Dream after my longing for swedish summers. Also known as mountain cloudberry, they only grow in the wild northern parts of scandinavia.
So this is a delicate tribute to everything nordic and wild.

New mini brooch of my illustration Eerie Trees.

I Was Lucky Enough

to have a gorgeous friend to model my jewelry on my recent photo shoot. It felt nice for once to stand behind the camera instead of front and I didn't have to edit these pictures as much by the fact that she's naturally beautiful. Some of these necklaces are already up in shop and some are not - those will be up by the end of next week.
I hope you like it!

I will be in Spain in the next couple of days so I may be low on new projects to show but I will be here with some photos of my little holiday trip in the sun anyway. Ta-da! Stay safe.
