New jewelry

The spring weather is finally here! It's been to long ago since I could walk outside without wool socks and snow boots. It's time to explore the new world that once was buried under snow.

These are the latest in jewelry and they are already up in shop.
This first one is called A Lingonberry Dream after my longing for swedish summers. Also known as mountain cloudberry, they only grow in the wild northern parts of scandinavia.
So this is a delicate tribute to everything nordic and wild.

New mini brooch of my illustration Eerie Trees.

My dear beloved trees?

Latest tree illustration.
I can't decide what I should call this, any suggestions?
In fact, I'm not sure about this illustration at all. There's something about the colors...I'm sure I will have to add some more details, or something. I hate this indecisiveness I've felt recently. Where did that came from!? I think I need a long walk in the sunshine, feel the sun on my face (and think happy thoughts), I guess that will not happen in the next 1 or 2 months. It's so grey and cold outside, it's depressing.

BUT I sure hope the sun shines on you where ever you are!

Oh well.

My pink and yellow period

The 3 latest drawings made have been in these pale pink, yellow with bits of grey colors. I don't know why but I'm just feeling drawn to these colors right now. Who knows I may get stuck with it or maybe I'll be drawn to green and purple. But then again no, those colors are kind of cold and sad. I'm a happy kind of girl, I like happy bright colors (when I'm not into ink) and silly, happy old songs. And summer with sunny days of course! It's hard in a country as Sweden when most of the year is cold, dark and sometimes lonely and depressing.

In the meantime I'll daydream of
The Trees Of Light where all the magic in the universe gather to feed the world with wisdom.

Oh btw, I've changed my blog address/URL to my name www.carolinagronholm.blogspot.com so if you have me linked to my old address catalinacat it wont work unless you copy and paste the new address, so please do, thanks!
(I've decided to make a test blog before the move)

Winter Wonderland

So little time, so much snow.

That's my winter sum up but it's ok I mean it's perfectly beautiful outside!

Illustration+Crochet brooches

New ones but smaller this time. With black yarn frames. Very eerie, very fun to make. What do you think of these? If you like them, I'll put them in the shop this week!

Illustration Friday: Foggy

I love a foggy landscape, like those of John Bauer's. This is my interpretation of this weeks theme done with ink pen.

Kottfamiljen
