Bear With Me

I started drawing this bear several months ago and it lay forgotten between other loose drawings of animals until I found it again. I guess it needed it's winter nap. Spring sun is here and spring flowers has popped up everywhere and what better time to see a newly awaken brown bear?

Bear with me, it takes time to see progress.

This spring I'm carrying a dreamy hare on my shoulder, and you could too!

A Day In Photos - Went Sailing!

My summer couldn't have started better. Last Saturday we had an amazing day on a old steamboat with friends out in the archipelago. There's really nothing like this to remind you of the beauty we're surrounded by here in Stockholm.

The evening passed to a bright nordic night and we strolled the streets of the Old Town.

I was totally surprised by this wonderful sailing event! This means I can check off the sailing in my list of to do this summer. It seems I'm off on a good start this summer.

Bike ride - New illustration

Spring is finally here and that for me means lots of bicycling on my orange bicycle.
This bike used to be my mothers and now I have it. I admit it's not the safest and fastest bike - it needs lots of reparation and some parts needs changing....but still...it works and looks like a dream, my orange pearl!

Have a great week lovelies,
I'm off for a bike ride! You never know when a spring shower might come..

A busy bee week

I've been away from my blogging here for more than a week, first time ever over these 5 years since I started this blog and I'm not even on a holiday!
I've been and are somewhat still over the top on different sorts of emotions because of big life changes and extremely lot of work. I'm definitely not complaining and are most happy how everything is turning out.
I'm a happy gal right now!

This is a summery of everything since last:
I stole some time from my illustration work to make a new scarf! Feels wonderful and light when wearing, and drapes really beautiful. Graceful wear for summer days!
For more info: SHOP

A little sneek preview of another scarf in progress. Hedgehog galore!

Not much outdoor activities for me with so much work but a bike ride from time to time is a must!

The view from my orange bike dream isn't so bad either.

This is my latest poster for the hiphop event STEEZ in Umeå, Sweden.
This is poster #5 and I made 2 different versions.
Couldn't be more happy to be asked to make another one!

How's your week been?
Sunny greetings from me to you lovelies!

Beatrix Potter and Millesgården

I finally got to see the exhibition of Beatrix Potter's work at Millesgården. It was really cute but rather small. The sculpture park outside the exhibition was amazing, especially on this beautiful sunny spring day.

Fun for the kids and young at heart adults? There were rabbit ear hats and childrens kitchen stuff to play with.

Photos of Beatrix Potter and fantastic wall paper.

I'm mad about birch trees right now. I draw them all the time.

One cool thing I have to share is this music video of Sunshine Superman with Donovan. It was filmed at Millesgården in 1966! Love Donovan.

Hope you're having a fantastic easter weekend!

New jewelry

The spring weather is finally here! It's been to long ago since I could walk outside without wool socks and snow boots. It's time to explore the new world that once was buried under snow.

These are the latest in jewelry and they are already up in shop.
This first one is called A Lingonberry Dream after my longing for swedish summers. Also known as mountain cloudberry, they only grow in the wild northern parts of scandinavia.
So this is a delicate tribute to everything nordic and wild.

New mini brooch of my illustration Eerie Trees.

I feel like Ronja Rövardotter

I feel like I want to scream like Ronja Rövardotter does every spring!
On english it's Ronia the robber's daughter. It's one of my favorite children books by Astrid Lindgren's after Allrakäraste syster. Ronja is also a most beloved tv series. I love when she runs around and welcoming the spring screaming in the deep and wild green forest with all the little wood anemones on the ground around her.

I noticed this little hillside the other day on one of our walks to our favorite cafe´.
I couldn't believe my eyes at first, is this real? looks like something out of a story!
The grass looked so green and the blue anemones was it's carpet. The weird or sad thing was...As I was standing there rubbing my eyes and with mouth open I'd noticed that the people who were passing by this place just walked right on! No one stopped and looked at this amazement, no one even turned their heads to take a peek!
What is this world turning in to? when people don't even stop and breathe and look at what mother nature serves us in wonders. Haha you know what? I just remembered that we are having a BIG mother nature issue right now with the volcano ashes spreading all over the northern regions of Europe. But that's another story! and it sure is a reminder that we can't control our world, there are things that are greater than us.

And this beautiful white horse who after taking this pic rolled around on the ground in joy.

My ranuculus has bloomed!

New necklaces

I'm being super duper busy with a coming craft fair that will take place this saturday. I've been printing like a maniac making new business cards, prints and making jewelry and all while it has been fantastic weather here! Though I have had time drinking coffee with Jonas on our sunny balcony with Sauron envious looking at us.  Because of all this I have neglected my 2 shops but I will raise again like the positive thinking girl I am. My back and shoulders ache badly, I should think I need a massage, anyone?

These necklaces are the latest I've done and hopefully they will be sold on saturday. I will however put some of them in my shop aCatsNest

Flowers pour moi

Today I bought myself beautiful darling orange ranuculus, because I think I deserve it.
Sauron was very curious of the new contribution to the home...

Thank you!

I will start this post by showing you an old drawing in ink, but I don't thing I've ever showed you this one before on the blog, I guess it's like that with a lot of stuff. I just can't keep up the posting on all my making, I can only do my best. This can be bought in my Etsy art shop and at Signerat now.

This print "Wooden" and my art shop was featured this week on Decor8's blog on Etsy Take Five Tuesdays,
press here  to take a look! I'm so thankful for this and for everything that is happening now around me. And today I sold my first item to Iceland, that's exciting! That must be the most unique country I've ever had the privilege to send an item to. Spring is somewhat here too and everything feels so much better in the sun, right?

In color

I thought my b/w ink drawing Cirque De Fleurs needed some wonderful pastel colors.
Have I told you I long for spring? I can't wait! I'm drawing birds, trees, flowers and other things with a spring theme now. I'll try to do my best posting them here. I've been a bit slow on the crocheting but the green alpaca shawl is finally done, I'll just have to take some photos of it. I'm not sure if I want to put it in the shop or not as I really love it, feels so soft on my shoulders...

Please Spring, Come soon!

I can feel the spring setting in now, oh how I longed for you! The snow is slowly melting and soon I don't have to wear my silly snow boots anymore, hooray!!!
These are a few favorite items that reminds me of a spring soon to come.

Cherry Blossom Glass Plate by Juliesadorabowls. Looks so fragile and beautiful. I would have lemons in this plate to add an even more spring feeling.

Oh Welloy by Irrena. Quite adorable, love this bright color.

1960's Lemon Side Wrap Skirt of Throbackvintage I love this skirt! There are lots of lovely vintage clothing in her shop!

Slippery Slope - Watercolour Painting by thoseparasoldays. Gorgeous colors!
