I got a little surprise gift in the post mail the other day! A fun little booklet of 37 "selfies"drawings made by Roberto. They're so much fun to look at. Here's one of my favorites:

Little Constructs

Do you remember my submission for a new project called Little Constructs?

Zine Submission

Here goes nothing! I've just sent my first zine submission for a lovely new project called Little Constructs.

Title: The Heart Of The Pink Forest

The theme to follow and freely interpret was a poem by Ezra Pound:

"The tree has entered my hands, 

                                                             The sap has ascended my arms,

The tree has grown in my breast- Downward, 

The branches grow out of me, like arms. 

Tree you are, Moss you are, 

You are violets with wind above them. 

A child - so high - you are, 

And all this is folly to the world."

The inspiration and idea was immediate and so I started with a pen sketch of the girl and frame and later added the coloring and the trees in the background digital in Photoshop.

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it will enter! 

But for now it's very very late here and so I'm saying good night 'all.

Things that made me giggle

As described in the shop: Tip of the Iceberg uncovers the truth about the clitoris. Woah! Must be fantasctic! I haven't actually had the time to read it through but I had a glance and it do look promising. One of my latest buys from Etsy is from Zoo-Mouse-Key.

    

    

This little illustrated book Dork Dance is the cutest little thing I found from her shop, I just had to add that to my collection of illustrated zines and stuff.
